SEATTLE — When the University of Washington’s football team starts fall training camp Friday, expectations will be sky high.

The 2018 Preseason Coaches Poll was released Thursday, and the Huskies came in at No. 6 overall, trailing only Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia and Oklahoma. Find the full top 25 below.

Gone from last year's team are Vite Vea, Dante Pettis, Will Dissly and Keishawn Bierra. However, the Huskies have returning leaders in Miles Gaskin, Jake Browning, Trey Adams and Jojo McIntosh.

Head coach Chris Petersen met with the media Thursday and spoke about the value of having players with experience as they look to win 10+ games for the third year in a row.

"I'm anxious to get out there, to see those guys that do have experience, (guys) that have played with us. (I'm anxious) to see where their game goes in the next month," Petersen said Thursday.

The Huskies' first game is in less than a month, on Sept. 1, against No. 10 Auburn University at the Mercedes Benz Dome in Atlanta.
