A suspect is in custody after a pursuit Friday morning in Kitsap County.
Investigators said before 8:15 a.m., a witness saw a passenger in a maroon Dodge Charger fire a round from a pistol into the ground. The car was traveling southbound on State Route 3 near Loxie Eagens Boulevard.
Troopers located the car and chased it, but the pursuit was terminated.
The car crashed into a barrier on State Route 16 near Tremont Street.
Troopers shut down the roadway to search for the suspects.

There were no cars or people hit.
At about noon, officers found the suspect after a search and in a wooded and swamp area. He was taken into custody.
It’s unknown of they are still searching for the second suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing.
#UPDATE: #WSP troopers terminated pursuit after the fleeing Dodge Charger merged onto EB SR 16 the wrong way from Tremont. Shortly after, the Dodge collided with a jersey barrier.
