Trooper trumps HOV lane cheater

Motorcycle trooper Greg Ulrich stopped a vehicle on northbound 167 that was driving in the HOV lane with a presidential candidate passenger - a large Donald Trump head cutout attached to the passenger side headrest.

Trooper Rick Johnson said the Trooper Ulrich was laughing when he approached the car, the driver was laughing too.

"The trooper said 'that's awesome' and the driver said, 'I thought you'd like it'," said Trooper Johnson.

The driver was given a citation for $136 for a HOV lane violation.

"He did have him put Mr. Trump's head in a safer location," said Trooper Johnson, "He did let him take Trump with him."

Trooper Johnson said the trooper who left the scene joked he was going to look for a Hillary Clinton cut-out next.

When asked if Hillary Clinton would have been removed from the front seat and asked to sit somewhere else?

Trooper Johnson answered, "She would have been treated equally, exactly as Donald Trump was treated today."
