Edmonds ferry vehicle traffic now moving following stalled train on nearby tracks

WASHINGTON — The Edmonds/Kingston has resumed service after due to a stalled train on the tracks in downtown Edmonds, blocking the ferry traffic.

The backup was reported around 4:20 p.m.

It blocked Main Street and Dayton, impacting ferry, vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

It’s unclear what caused the train to stall.

One person on the ferry told KIRO 7 that there was a school bus of children aboard.

The road was cleared around 4:50 p.m.
