Threat closes South Puget Sound Community College campuses Wednesday

OLYMPIA, Wash. — All South Puget Sound Community College campuses and facilities are closed Wednesday, according to a tweet from the college.

SPSCC received a call Tuesday night warning that “targeted violence” may occur at the college on Wednesday.

School officials said they immediately notified police and decided to close campuses to all students, employees and visitors.

Online classes and activities will be held as scheduled, but in-person classes and activities are canceled for the day.

All student and public services are closed, including virtual services.

The Serendipity Children’s Center at SPSCC is also closed.

Those who registered to attend the Northwest Justice Forum conference are asked to check their email for additional information.
