BURIEN, Wash. — A 18-year-old was booked into the King County Jail and four minors were released to their parents after trick or treaters were shot with an airsoft gun on Halloween night.
Deputies with the King County Sheriff's Office said they received a call around 7:30 p.m. about a person shooting at trick or treaters in Burien.
The caller reported that the teen was wearing a Halloween mask and was shooting while leaning out of a PT Cruiser, deputies said.
Deputies said the caller also reported that airsoft pellets struck a child and an adult.
Not long afterward, deputies said the group of teens stole a case of beer from a Safeway in White Center and fled in the same PT Cruiser.
Deputies then pulled the vehicle over nearby.
"A check on the PT Cruiser showed it was stolen. Inside the vehicle were four juveniles, the 18-year-old male driver, the stolen beer, the mask, and the airsoft gun used to shoot at the trick or treaters," deputies wrote in a news release.
Deputies said the 18-year-old was taken into custody on investigation of possession of a stolen vehicle.
The four minors were released to their parents; deputies said one was just 12-years-old.
