Adrianna F. Butts had a loaded revolver when she was outside the 7-Eleven on First Avenue, but gave it to her brother because he wouldn’t be afraid to show it, prosecutors said. He showed it to the 7-Eleven clerk who held Butts and tried to stop them from stealing the food and Heineken beer -- $28 of snacks total.

Butts' brother, Damarius, approached the store manager and said “get the fuck off my sister” before displaying the gun.

When officers tried to stop them later, Adrianna Butts threw a bottle at an officer and hit him in the head, investigators said.

“She then put a choke hold on the officer,” Senior Deputy Prosecutor Brian Wynne wrote in charging documents. “The defendant told detectives later that she could have ‘sliced’ the officer’s neck while he was on the ground, but she was not that type of person.”

Police said they recovered a knife from her purse.

Her brother was later shot to death after he fired at three police and wounded three officers, including one critically.

A third person who was with pair was arrested in Renton and interviewed by Seattle police detectives. He hasn't been charged, and prosecutors said he'd be released pending additional investigation.

In charging documents, Wynne incorrectly identified the Smith and Wesson gun as a Ruger.
