Troopers recovered what they described as a "substantial" amount of watches and jewelry during a traffic stop in Everett on Jan. 26. Some of the jewelry has distinct markings, which leads investigators to believe it may have been stolen.
Trooper D. Tolen and his K-9 partner Kobe stopped the car because it had a modified exhaust pipe. The driver was detained for failing to provide any identification and the trooper found several counterfeit bills in his pockets.
The man gave permission for Tolen to search his car. During the search, the trooper found the jewelry and uncovered a large amount of heroin, methamphetamine, pills and a stolen firearm.
If you believe any of the jewelry in these photos is yours, or if you have been a victim of any theft including watches and jewelry, contact Trooper Tolen with the Washington State Patrol at 425-327-4201.
