Last week, thousands across the Pacific Northwest saw and captured video of bright lights flying over the skies, which turned out to be “space junk” in the second stage of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket breaking up upon re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere.
Now deputies in Grant County say they have recovered one of the pieces.
On Friday, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said a composite-overwrapped pressure vessel from last week’s re-entry was found on a private property.
The sheriff’s office said they do not plan on giving out any specifics on the object.
