Seattle man threatens to kill several people, steals dog

SEATTLE — After knocking a man unconscious, a Seattle man threatened to kill multiple people and even robbed someone of their dog.

The incidents began on Nov. 20 around 3 p.m., when a man had an argument with someone at a gas station at 23rd Avenue East and East Cherry Street.

During the argument, the man punched a person in the head, knocking them unconscious for about 10 minutes.

The man then went north for several blocks to a family friend’s house, where he confronted a family friend for no apparent reason.

Police said he threatened to kill the friend, then proceeded to assault her by spitting and throwing objects on her.

The man then ran away to a different block, where he got into another incident with strangers in the area.

This incident led him to threaten to kill more people, assault another person and rob a woman of her dog, hitting the dog with its own leash.

The man then ran to another area and confronted a homeowner, where he grabbed a hammer and swung it repeatedly at the homeowner and her husband.

Officers were attempting to catch up to the volume of 911 calls these incidents generated.

He was finally located and taken into custody after a short foot chase.

The man was arrested and booked into King County Jail for three counts of felony harassment, two counts of robbery, felony harassment, animal cruelty, two counts of misdemeanor assault and misdemeanor harassment.
