Seahawks appearing at Bloodworks Northwest to encourage fans to donate

BELLEVUE, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks are stepping up and helping Bloodworks Northwest during a shortage of donors brought on by the new coronavirus.

At least one player and two dancers will be at the Bellevue location at 1807 132nd Ave #2249, from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The team is hoping the appearance will encourage fans to donate blood. In the past few weeks, dozens of blood drives have been canceled or shut down and blood donations are at an all-time low.

Bloodworks reminds the public that donating blood is safe during the coronavirus outbreak. To keep in line with social distancing recommendations, Donations are by appointment only.

Schedule appointments and find locations at schedule.bloodworksnw.org, call 1-800-398-7888, or text bloodapp to 91985.
