SEATTLE — Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and former baseball star Alex Rodriguez are partnering with local entrepreneurs to open 10 or more fitness and yoga studios in Washington.
TruFusion started in Las Vegas in 2013 and is described as a "innovative group fitness and yoga brand that is rapidly expanding across the U.S.," according to a news release.
The first location is scheduled to open in early 2019 at Lincoln Square South in Bellevue with two additional locations scheduled to open in the Seattle area in the summer.
“Mind, body and soul are the ingredients for success. I've always believed in making health and fitness a priority in life, as well as opening your mind to positive and limitless thoughts. This studio inspires you to put in the work to achieve your goals," Wilson said.
The 10,000-square-foot venue in Bellevue will offer yoga, circuits, Pilates, Kettlebells, barre, boxing, TRX and other classes.
“I only take group classes. That's the one thing that makes it special and unique. Everyone is encouraging you. There's really a community atmosphere where everyone is working together," Rodriguez said of his previous TruFusion experiences.
In addition to expansion to Seattle, TruFusion has locations across the United States including Las Vegas, Scottsdale, Coral Gables and St. Louis.
