Record dry November to end Tuesday; stagnant air to blow away

A few showers were moving through Monday morning with mostly cloudy skies in the 30s and 40s.

There may be some very isolated sprinkles or even a little drizzle early Monday, but most of the moisture will wrap up.

Skies will slowly turn partly sunny with mainly dry conditions.

Highs will stay around normal for this time of year, in the low 50s.

A much larger and wetter system will move in Tuesday with windy weather.

The wind is expected to clear out the “Air Stagnation Advisories” throughout the Puget Sound area, where the poor air quality may cause issues for people with respiratory problems.

The rain will start around commute time Tuesday morning and stick around until at least the early afternoon before tapering off to showers.

It’ll be windy ahead of and along the front for most of the area, with gusts from the south and southwest in the 30- and potentially 40-mph range.

The strongest wind will be north and at the coast.

Behind the cold front, westerly wind will kick in and be very strong through the Strait and into the Admiralty Inlet area.

There should be a few showers around on Wednesday, but we will be more dry than wet.

Thanksgiving Day looks mainly dry with morning clouds and then afternoon sun.

Rain and mountain snow move back in on Friday and will be around for the weekend. Be careful traveling!
