SEATTLE — A 46-year-old Seattle man was charged in King County Superior Court after allegedly stabbing a person he didn't know with stolen scissors.
The incident is alleged to have happened around 1 a.m. May 18 outside the QFC in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
In charging documents, a QFC employee told police that Ivan Patrick Sabon, 46, grabbed two scissors from inside the store, said, “I want to fight. I don’t give a f---,” and exited the store without paying for them.
Witnesses told police they saw Sabon walk up to a stranger who was waiting to cross the street and said Sabon began yelling incoherently.
According to police, the witnesses then saw Sabon stab the victim in his back without warning.
The victim suffered a puncture wound and was transported from the scene to Harborview Medical Center for treatment, officials said.

Responding officers said they located Sabon walking in the area and a witness confirmed he was the suspect.
When police took Sabon into custody, they said the scissors fell to the ground.
Sabon was later booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault, where he remains in lieu of a $30,000 bail.
His arraignment, where he will enter a plea, is expected later this year.
Sabon’s criminal history includes 77 arrests in King County since 1993.
Sabon also has convictions for assault, burglary and harassment, among a series of others.
