Some Puget Sound Energy customers are without power after heavy rain overnight and gusty winds.
Some of the areas were outages were reported were Auburn, Bay View/Sammish Island area, Mount Vernon, Kent, Kingston, North Bend, Fall City and Langley. Scattered outages were also reported in Bellingham.
In Black Diamond, a small tree fell on a home's roof early Friday, bringing power lines down. The homeowner, who happens to be a roofer, said only a gutter appeared to be damaged.
In North Bend, trees and downed power lines are blocking Southeast Mount Si Road at 470th Avenue Southeast as of about 8 a.m. Lines were also reported to be down in Fall City, blocking Preston-Fall City Rd Southeast at Southeast David Powell Road.
A front that pushed into the region Thursday night brought the windiest night of the season so far with 51 mph gusts in Everett at 11 p.m.
The stronger winds are expected to subside by daybreak though it will be showery and breezy through the morning commute.
Showers will mainly be confined to the mountains and foothills during the day though a few spots of rain will be around along with some sun breaks. A convergence zone could focus some areas of rain in the central Sound, however.
