Man last seen inside Seattle condo building found safe

SEATTLE — The man last seen inside his Seattle condo building early this week was found safe Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Saurabh Gupte hadn’t been seen since Monday morning but the Seattle Police Department tweeted at 2:13 p.m. Wednesday that he was found safe.

ORIGINAL STORY:

There’s a mystery inside the Trio Condos in Seattle.

Saurabh Gupte and his family live on the 6th floor, but since Monday morning he’s been missing.

The strangest part is that he was never seen leaving the building.

“Something has happened,” says his wife Shraddha Gupte. “I don’t know what happened but I’m requesting to everyone of you please please please help me.”

His wife says he took out the recycling Monday morning, security cameras in the building capturing him in the parking garage.

She says he then headed back to the 6th floor to grab the trash and take it to the chute down the hall.

That was the last time anyone saw him.

“He’s really calm, simple and kind guy,” says Shraddha. “He’s a loving husband, loving son, he’s a loving father. We just had a baby. He’s 4 months old.”

At the time of his disappearance, Gupte says her husband didn’t have his keys wallet or phone with him, and all he was wearing was a shirt, sweatpants and flip flops.

She has no reason to believe he just left and is worried something may have happened to him inside the Belltown condominium.

“This is just a nightmare for all of us, you know? Just a nightmare,” she says.

Now their family and friends are posting signs and raising awareness of Saurabh’s disappearance hoping that someone will recognize his photo and help reunite this family.

“There’s some hope that I can find him, we will find him together. He’s somewhere here and we will surely find with everyone’s help,” says Shraddha.
