AUBURN, Wash. — Police in Auburn arrested a suspect in a stabbing following a lengthy K9 track on Thursday morning.
Around 10:00 a.m. police received reports of a man pounding on the door of an Auto Zone in the 4300 block of A St. SE saying he had been stabbed.
Arriving officers found the stabbing victim and transported him to Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
The suspect in the stabbing was seen leaving the area on foot. A K9 unit was deployed to the area and police set up a perimeter to search for the suspect.
Around 11:30 a.m. police said they found the suspect hiding in bushes near the scene and he was taken into custody without incident.
During the search for the suspect five Auburn School District schools were placed in lockdown as a precaution. The lockdown has since been lifted.
