A man was arrested Monday for carrying a gun downtown without a concealed weapon permit, police said.
Officers were searching downtown Seattle for a suspect in a shooting at 2nd Avenue and Pine Street, when they saw a man with a gun clearly sticking out of his waistband near 3rd Avenue and Pike Street.
Police talked to the 27-year-old man, who did not have a concealed weapon permit. He was taken into custody for unlawfully carrying a firearm and booked into King County Jail.
Police do not believe this is connected to the shooting that happened Monday afternoon at 2nd Avenue and Pine Street.
