One killed, one injured in Tukwila shooting

TUKWILA, Wash. — Tukwila police are investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment complex.

Police were called to the Park Avenue Apartments on South 146th Street near 35th at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers arrived to find a 22-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Officers and medics tried to save his life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim, a woman, was shot in the leg. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center. Her condition is not known.

Police say the man who was shot to death didn’t live at the complex.

The relationship between the two victims is not yet known.

Tukwila police said the shooting does not appear to be random.

No arrests have been made.
