New age progression photo released of missing Bellevue boy Sky Metalwala

BELLEVUE, Wash. — More than eight years ago, Bellevue boy Sky Metalwala disappeared, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children released a new age progression photo showing what he would look like today.

His age progression photo is of Metalwala at the age of 10 years.

Metalwala's mother, Julia Biryukova, said she left the 2-year-old in her car while she went to a gas station after she ran out of gas on Nov. 6, 2011.

She told investigators when she got back about an hour later, he was gone. The boy hasn't been seen since.

Sky's father, Soloman Metalwala, and Biryukova had gone through a bitter divorce that was finalized a few days before the boy's disappearance. In divorce papers, Metalwala claimed Biryukova had told him of dreams she had about killing their children.

In the same papers, Biryukova said Metalwala had been abusive to her and their children. They were also in the midst of a custody battle for the two children.

Police said though foul play was suspected, there were no suspects in the case.
