Man taken to hospital after being pulled from Lake Tapps

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A man was taken to the hospital after being pulled from the water at Lake Tapps on Sunday.

Around 7:23 p.m. deputies who were on patrol at the lake were alerted to a 30-year-old man who was 10 yards from shore and had gone under water.

According to officials, the man had resurfaced but then went back under.

The victim was pulled from the water by deputies and family members. Lifesaving measures were performed, and the man was taken to the hospital by medics.

No information was provided about the man’s condition.

This is the second incident at the lake in just days.

On Friday, a 29-year-old man pulled from Lake Tapps by divers with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office died at the hospital.
