Man injured in possible gang-related shooting on Capitol Hill

SEATTLE — Seattle police gang unit detectives are investigating after a man was shot early Sunday in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Pine Street after emergency dispatchers received reports of a shooting at 2:20 a.m.

Officers arrived and found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his leg. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center by medics.

Detectives with the Seattle police gang unit said they spoke with several witnesses who gave conflicting versions of what happened.

Detectives are combing through evidence at the scene are working to create a description of the suspect.
