Lost dog’s owners found within an hour after state trooper’s tweet

A Washington State Patrol trooper’s tweet led to a lost dog being returned to its owners within an hour.

At 7:31 a.m. Friday, Trooper Chris Thorson tweeted a photo of the black and white dog and asked if any Tri-City followers recognized him. The trooper said the pup was given to him near Badger Road and Clearwater in Kennewick while he was on his way to work.

The dog was found walking alone in the road because the snow was too deep on sidewalks and shoulders.

The trooper included the local state patrol office number in his tweet.

An hour later, Thorson tweeted that the dog, whose name is Bandit, was returned to his owners in record time after someone who saw the trooper’s tweet, Twitter user @johnyjuice, posted it to Facebook.

A woman who saw the Facebook post knew where Bandit lived.
