‘I will miss my dad every day’: Bill Gates Sr. dies at 94

SEATTLE — Microsoft co-founder and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates on Tuesday revealed that his father, Bill Gates Sr., has died. He was 94.

Bill Gates Jr. said his father died on Monday, surrounded by family.

“My dad’s passing was not unexpected. He was 94 years-old and his health had been declining, so we have all had a long time to reflect on just how lucky we are to have had this amazing man in our lives for so many years,” Gates Jr. said in a statement.

In Jan. 2018, Gates Jr. revealed his father was battling Alzheimer’s disease.
