Homicide suspect arrested after person found dead at Centralia home

CENTRALIA, Wash. — A 28-year-old homicide suspect was arrested Sunday after a person was found dead at a Centralia home.

Officers were called at 8:20 a.m. to a home in the 800 block of South Gold Street for a report of an unconscious person.

When officers arrived, they found a person dead with gunshot wounds, according to the Centralia Police Department. They believe the shooting might have occurred late Saturday night or early Sunday.

The victim’s identity and official cause of death will be released by the Lewis County Coroner’s Office.

Police said they questioned a 28-year-old man at the home and arrested him.

The suspect was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree murder.
