One dead in house fire in Graham

A man was found dead in his home after a fire broke out in Graham on Sunday morning. The house is located in the 22500 block of 90th Avenue East.

Police believe that the fire was intentionally set by the victim. Officers found a flamable substance as well as a weapon in the room where the fire started.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 10:15 a.m. after neighbors said the home was on fire. The home was burning heavily when firefighters arrived, and when they tried to enter the front door, a sign was posted warning people to stay out, saying there were explosives inside. Officers entered cautiously and did not find any explosives but did find the body of the man who lived there.

The damage to the outside of the home was not extensive, but fire had charred the interior. Authorities say that only the one man lived in the home.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within 15 minutes of arrival.

Police are still investigating.
