TUKWILA, Wash. — Firefighters battled a fire at a large apartment in Tukwila overnight.
Crews were called to the Foster Creek Apartments at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Firefighters arrived to find flames coming through the roof. Fire officials upgraded the fire to two alarms to summon more units.
The entire complex was evacuated.
The roof is essentially destroyed.
No one was hurt.
The building did not have fire sprinklers, which fire officials said would have made all the difference.
At 5:45 a.m., fire crews had been at the apartments for six hours and were wrapping up operations.
