EVERETT, Wash. — Firefighters responded to a fire at a west Everett home Monday afternoon estimated to have caused $250,000 in damages, according to the Everett Fire Department.
Multiple neighbors called 911 around 4:35 p.m. after reportedly seeing flames coming from the home’s roof and windows.
Crews arrived at the house located in the 4100 block of Cliff Drive shortly after and found heavy smoke and fire coming from the first floor of the home.
As they responded to the scene, firefighters reported seeing a large column of smoke from the intersection of Dogwood Drive and Mukilteo Boulevard.
Firefighters established an offensive strategy to extinguish the fire and were able to quickly bring it under control before it could spread to neighboring homes.
Crews remained on the scene, extinguishing hot spots for several hours.
No injuries were reported and the Everett Fire Marshal’s Office is now investigating the cause of the fire.
