TACOMA, Wash. — Electric scooters are returning to Tacoma streets this month.
Razor scooters won a one-year contract to bring the scooters to the city after an earlier pilot program.
About 400 scooters will be launched on May 25, but the city can have as many as 750.
The scooters can be ridden on sidewalks, paved trails, bike lanes, cycle tracks, roads with a speed limit of 25 mph or less, and on roads, sidewalks, paths and trails within parks.
The scooters will be available across the city. They cost $1 to unlock and $0.37 per-minute to ride.
Their top speed is 15 mph.
