Detectives search witnesses in fatal Lynnwood crash

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Detectives are searching for witnesses to a fatal crash on Monday night in Lynnwood.

At about 10:30 p.m., deputies responded to a fatal crash involving three cars at the intersection of 25th  Avenue West and 164th Street Southwest.

When deputies arrived, they found a 34-year-old woman dead at the scene.

The driver, an 18-year-old woman, and passenger, a 17-year-old girl, in one of the cars involved were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, deputies said. The driver of the third car involved, an 18-year-old man, stayed at the scene.

Detectives said the two drivers were traveling westbound on 164th Street Southwest when one of the cars T-boned the victim’s car.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated, but detectives believe speed may be a contributing factor.
