Deputies: Suspect in Marysville kidnapping, sexual assault taken into custody

EVERETT, Wash. — A 43-year-old Everett man suspected in a Marysville sexual assault and kidnapping last month was arrested Tuesday, deputies said.

On April 28, deputies responded to a report of a sexual assault in the 12400 block of Sunny Shores Road in Marysville.

Investigators said as deputies responded, the victim was kidnapped in downtown Marysville, driven to the location and sexually assaulted at gunpoint.

After interviews with the victim and several witnesses, detectives identified a suspect.

On Tuesday afternoon, investigators saw the suspect driving in North Everett but lost him.

After a search, they located the suspect and took him into custody. He was taken to Snohomish County Jail and was booked on suspicion of first-degree rape and first-degree kidnapping.
