The victim, a 29-year-old man, was shot several times Friday in the parking lot of Valley Ridge Park on South 188th Street. His friends said he was there to play soccer with them and was shot when he went back to his car in the parking lot to retrieve something he’d left behind.

The suspect said something to the victim and then fired multiple rounds, killing the victim. The suspect fled the scene but video surveillance captured images of his Dodge Charger.

The vehicle was found a day later by Federal Way police, who determined that it belonged to the suspect. The suspect was located at a house in Federal Way and taken into custody.

The suspect, a 26-year-old man, was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder. The suspect's 29-year-old girlfriend was also arrested and booked for rendering criminal assistance to the suspect, police said.
