Police in Shoreline are looking for an armed robber who held up a clerk at a gas station.
The robbery happened at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at a Chevron station on Ballinger Way.
Surveillance video shows a man walk into the Chevron’s convenience story wearing a backpack and sunglasses.
He walked around and grabbed a few things before going to the counter.
The woman at the cash register, Doreen Hill, says he seemed a little bit nervous as he was paying for water, soda and some potato chips, but she didn't think much of it.
But he then lifted up his shirt, pulled a handgun from his waistband and told her to put all the money from the till into a bag.
Hill did what he asked, but there's wasn't much in the cash register – only $70 in $1 and $5-dollar bills.
The robber argued with Hill for a second, then walked out with the money.
“I felt like I might have been dying tonight," said Hill.
After calling police, the gas station owner called KIRO 7 to get the robber’s face out to the public so he's identified and caught.
The owner said the incident was the first armed robbery at the Chevron and she's been there nine years.
She says the neighborhood gas station and convenience store has lots of regulars and she's confident someone will recognize him and call police.
