Police are investigating after two people died in a collision near Nisqually in Pierce County on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to a vehicle in distress at 12:35 p.m. Multiple agencies used GPS coordinates and located a SUV that crashed over an embankment in the 19900 block of Nisqually Road Southwest. The car went over the embankment and hit a tree.
A man and woman found in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Pierce County Medical Examiners Office is working to identify the victims.
