GRANITE FALLS, Wash. — Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue successfully airlifted a 17-year-old girl with an ankle injury Sunday from the Gothic Basin Trail.
Rescue workers responded around 4 p.m., flying to the area and quickly spotting the hiking party flashing a light. The girl was found on steep, rocky terrain at 3,800 feet elevation.
A medic was lowered to the group to treat the patient, who was then hoisted and flown to Providence Regional Medical Center for treatment.
