1 dead in crash in Mukilteo

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A person died in a crash Friday night in Mukilteo, deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were called to East Gibson Road, where a man was driving northbound before running off the road, striking a tree at 126th Street Southwest.

The passenger, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

It is not yet known what caused the driver to run off the road, but deputies are investigating.
