Everett man wanted in connection with kidnapping teen

Police are searching for a 48-year-old Everett man wanted in connection with kidnapping a 15-year-old girl.

Astoria, Ore., police say the girl has been missing from Sanger, Calif. since Saturday. She reportedly walked into a McDonald's on Monday evening and told staff she was kidnapped.

Police found the girl at the restaurant, and placed her in protective custody while her parents were in California, The Daily Astorian reports.

Deviney was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, black sweater and an orange baseball hat. Police think he let the girl out at McDonald's, and then he walked in an unknown direction.

The girl was chatting with Deviney on social media, KMPH FOX 26 in Fresno, Calif. reported.

Detectives say the latest text message came from the Seattle, Washington area or along the Oregon–Washington border.
