EDMONDS, Wash. — Classes at Madrona School are canceled Monday after the school erupted in flames Sunday night.

The fire at the school in the 9300 block of 236th Street SW broke out about 8 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke billowing into the sky.
According to Snohomish County Fire, the fire was contained to the teacher's lounge, but a school office and the hall next to it have some water and smoke damage.
Investigators say the fire started in a storage space attached to the teacher's lounge.
No injuries were reported.

It is unclear how the fire started, but so, it does not appear to be suspicious.
The damage is estimated to be $250,000.
