Two bail bondsmen arrived at the home to take a man into custody on a warrant.

The man came out with a gun, according to police.

One of the enforcement officers attempted to tase the suspect.

At that point, detectives say the suspect shot that bail bondsman multiple times.

The suspect ran; the second bail bondsman chased after.

He was then shot by the suspect.

The two bail bondsmen suffered serious injuries and were hospitalized at nearby St. Peter’s Hospital.

On Friday, Jan. 15, the suspect, Eli M. Yates, was transported to the Thurston Co. Jail and booked for attempted murder.

He will make a court appearance on Jan. 19.
