Nearly three dozen sticks of dynamite were found in the basement of a house for sale on Whidbey Island.
The area near Cultus Bay Road and East French Road was shut down Monday afternoon as crews investigate the explosives.
Crews are taking the 36 sticks of dynamite out of the house to detonate them in another location.
Residents in the area were told they may hear loud explosions from detonating.
