1. State Fair finale. Washington State Fair. Puyallup. Aug. 30-Sept. 22. It's that time of the year again, the Washington State Fair is back with all your favorites! 2. Seattle Home Show (Fall Show). CenturyLink Field Event Center. Starting Oct. 12-13. The Spring and Fall show present hundreds of builders, for indoor and outdoor needs, with decorating, landscaping, appliances and many more ideas for home builders. 3. Festival for good foods. Seattle Nourished Festival (formerly Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expos). Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. Sept. 21 and 22, 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. This is the Seattle food event to visit if you have special dietary restrictions. Gluten-free, nut-free, keto and plant-based consumers will be offered multiple tasty vendor options suited to their diets. 4. Kids day in Seattle: Seattle Children's Festival. Seattle Center Armory. Sept. 21, 10 a.m- 8:30 p.m. Join in on the fun this weekend at the Seattle Armory, and bring the kids for plenty of activities, such as arts, performances, Discovery Zones for hands-on activities, workshops and much more. 5. Oktoberfest on the water: Oktoberfest Tradition. Marina Park, Kirkland. Sept. 20-22. October is almost here and that means festival are near. Stop by the Marina Park waterfront in Kirkland for a Bavarian beer, dance in a chicken dance competition or try your hand in Bier Pong or cornhole games. 6. Seattle fisherman community: Fishermen's Fall Festival. Fishermen's Terminal. Sept. 21. 11 a.m.   - 6 p.m.  The volunteer-operated event expresses the significance of the local fishing industry, raising money for the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial Foundation. Come check out the popular wooden boat building, fishing pond, hands-on art projects and much more activities. Try some tasty local seafood while you're there or watch live performances by the water. 7. Autumnal Equinox. Luminata. Green Lake Park. Sept. 21. 6-10 p.m. Celebrate the last few days of summer at a fun night-life festival. Watch lanterns light up the night sky, filled with glowing umbrellas, luminous costumes and other creations, parade around the lake. Hand-decorated lanterns will be available for sale at a local shop as well as a complimentary lantern through your night.
