Rookie forward Matty Beniers is officially out of the 2023 NHL All-Star Game, according to the National Hockey League.
Beniers has not played since an open-ice hit from Vancouver Canuck’s Tyler Myers on Jan. 25.

Beniers missed the following two games before the break, including the Kraken’s games against Calgary and Columbus.
According to ESPN, the Seattle Kraken have not specified the type of injury Beniers suffered.
Beniers will be replaced on the all-star roster with Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson, making his All-Star Game debut.
With the removal of Beniers from the roster, the first-place Seattle Kraken will have no representation at the All-Star Game.
The 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Game is Saturday, Feb. 4.
