‘This could get interesting’ as Seattle Kraken go into rest of series in the driver’s seat

After defeating the Dallas Stars in OT for Game 1 of Round 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs, it was an “off day” for the Kraken, as the team prepares for what is expected to be a competitive Game 2 on Thursday.

KIRO 7′s Chris Francis spoke with The Seattle Times’ Geoff Baker about the Kraken’s exceptional road record during the playoffs.

“All they have to do is start winning at home and this could get real interesting,” Baker chuckled.

The Kraken has not been as successful on the road, losing two out of three games at home.

“It puts all the pressure on the Stars for Game 2,” Baker said. “Dallas doesn’t win that game... all of a sudden the Kraken coming home with a chance to sweep in front of their own fans. Who would have saw that coming?”

Game 2 is Thursday night in Dallas at 6:30 p.m. on TNT.
