It has happened to many of us who have prepared a Christmas dinner. You get halfway through a recipe only to realize you are missing an ingredient.

Should that happen to you this year, take heart, you have some options.

While most grocery stores are closed on Christmas, some are open, as are some convenience stores that can help with basic dinner ingredients.
