Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster was a not-so-secret Santa this year.
Smith-Schuster helped pay the layaway accounts for 88 families at Burlington. The total came to $12,5000.
He worked with Pay Away the Layaway, a nationwide nonprofit.
Those who benefitted from Smith-Schuster’s generosity were surprised when they found out that the balance was paid for and who picked up the tab, WPXI reported.

This isn’t the first time Smith-Schuster gave back to the Pittsburgh region. He delivered Thanksgiving meals to senior citizens after the first postponement of the Thanksgiving Day game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to WPXI.
