Chelsey Jones, of Elk River, gave birth to two boys and two girls by cesarean section just before 10 a.m. CDT, KMSP reported.

Chelsey Jones and her husband, Reise Jones, found out only a few weeks ago that a foursome of babies was going to join their other child, 3-year-old Charlie Jones, according to the television station.

The fraternal quads -- Savanna Su, Declan David, Ryder Reymund and MacKenna Lin -- were born in Minneapolis at 32 weeks, KMSP reported. The infants weighed between 2 pounds, 7 ounces and 3 pounds, 9 ounces, according to the television station.

On Friday, Reise Jones got to hold one of his newborns for the first time.

“Compared to my daughter, they are not even half the size of what my daughter was,” Reise Jones told KMSP. “They essentially weigh nothing and it’s extremely bizarre when they put them in your arms and you can’t even tell they’re there.”

“They’re all fraternal, so they are all going to have their own looks,” Chelsey Jones told the television station. “However, we know some fraternal twins that look identical. So far, if you laid them out next to each other, I could tell them apart.”

“I could not,” Riese Jones joked.

Chelsey Jones will remain in the hospital as doctors treat her for post-delivery blood pressure issues, KMSP reported. The infants are breathing on their own, but it is unclear how long they will have to stay hospitalized.
