NEW YORK — Police in New York City arrested a man on suspicion of attempted burglary after he chased a woman to her apartment in September, authorities said.
Orisha Luckey, 41, was arrested on Oct. 7 and charged with attempted burglary, harassment and criminal trespassing, WCBS reported. Luckey was arrested 37 times before the Sept. 23 incident, officials with the New York Police Department said.
Video of the attempted robbery in the Bronx apartment building, which occurred at 2 a.m. EDT, quickly went viral, WABC reported.
Arrest made! On October 7th with the public help, investigators from the @NYPD44Pct identified and arrested Orisha Luckey, a 41 year old male with 37 prior arrest and charged him with Burglary. Great job getting a dangerous recidivist off the street before he could strike again https://t.co/J4fizxNE9q

The video shows the victim, a 50-year-old woman, opening the door of her apartment just as a man -- later identified as Luckey -- rounds a corner and runs down the hallway toward her, WPIX reported. He reaches the door just as the woman, who is not identified, slams it shut.
The man then bangs on the door before walking away, the television station reported.
The woman told WABC that she saw two men as she entered her apartment building.
“(Luckey) followed me inside the building, and he said ‘Miss, miss,’ twice,” the woman told the television station.
The woman hurried to her apartment and her suspicions were on the money, particularly after she viewed the surveillance video of the incident.
”I feel very scared,” she told WABC. “I was saying, ‘What if?’ What if I had the top door locked? He could’ve gotten me.”
