MIAMI — A passenger on a plane that landed in Miami on Wednesday was detained after he jumped out of the aircraft and walked on its wing as it pulled up to the terminal, authorities said.
American Airlines Flight 920 from Cali, Colombia, had landed shortly after 7:30 p.m. EDT at Miami International Airport when the passenger opened the plane’s emergency exit and jumped onto the wing, the Miami Herald reported.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents immediately took the unidentified man into custody, according to the newspaper.

None of the other passengers on the plane were hurt, WSVN reported.
Authorities did not identify the passenger and no other details were immediately available, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
“We thank our team members and law enforcement for their professionalism and quick action,” American Airlines said in a statement.
