Pop singer Janet Jackson knows a thing or two about dance moves.

Jackson was so impressed with the Talladega College Marching Band during its performance at the Krewe of Zulu 2020 parade Tuesday at Mardi Gras, she gave them some love Friday on Instagram.

“I LOVE IT! Y’all are STEPPIN!” Jackson wrote about the 352-member marching band, which gave a spirited performance of “Velvet Rose” during the parade in New Orleans.

Talladega College is a private, historically black college located in Talladega, Alabama. It is also the state’s oldest HBCU.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by the incomparable Ms. Janet Jackson,” Talladega College band director Miguel Bonds said in a news release. “It is a great honor to be praised by such a profoundly talented performer.”
