Paramount Plus, a streaming service set for an early 2021 launch, will feature the return of “iCarly” stars Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original series had a 97-episode run from 2007 to 2012 on Nickelodeon. It followed a group of best friends from middle school who created a “home-grown web show” while encountering everyday problems and adventures.

During its original run, the show broke ratings records for Nickelodeon, Variety reported.

TVLine first reported news of the reboot.

The series was known for incorporating many pop culture references, ranging from its Nickelodeon contemporaries to “The Wire,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jay Kogen and Ali Schouten have signed on to develop the update, according to Variety.

The show’s revival comes as ViacomCBS prepares to launch Paramount Plus, the website reported. ViacomCBS will rebrand its CBS All-Access streaming service and is currently adding content from the company’s various brands, including Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and MTV, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

On Wednesday, CBS All Access added 800 episodes of Nickelodeon series, including “Paw Patrol,” “Blaze and the Monster Machines” and “Dora the Explorer.” The company also added “Kids Mode” that allows parents and caregivers to limit content children can view based on program ratings, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
